When it comes to studying, there really is no one-size-fits-all approach. Everybody studies differently and those who are able to study effectively are those who are able to put their mind to it over a certain period of time. Those who cram or panic about the studying that they’re doing are never going to pass, or pass very well. Everybody has different abilities, so it’s really important that you determine what kind of learning you are so that you can make your studying as effective as possible.
For some students studying comes easily and it’s important to understand that it may not come easily for you every time. However, the harder you work the easier you’ll find it. Finding the best way to study is going to be a process, and it’s not something that you can really leave the night before a test. You should be constantly improving your study skills so that you can understand what’s working for you and what really isn’t. So with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the ways that you can supercharge your studying with our simplest solutions.
1. Get as organized as possible.
Carry a planner at all times so that you can adjust your study plan if you need to, putting in your homework, your projects, and any tests or assignments. As soon as they are assigned, make sure that they’re not forgotten about. Then you can put together a plan and see what your pattern of studying will be.
2. Pay attention in class.
Even if you’re in college, it’s very easy to drift off and not concentrate on what’s being said by your lecturer. Practice active listening skills by concentrating on what’s being said and taking notes in your own words. This will help you to be able to understand what’s being taught and help you to learn how to listen effectively.

3. Try to tuck away from any distractions.
These are everywhere from cell phones to social media to your friends who you may live with. Be aware of what distracts you in class and know how to steer yourself away from those distractions so that you can focus on what really counts. Turning off your cell phone when you study is really going to help to supercharge your situation.
4. Don’t have half-written notes.
If you want to study effectively, then your notes need to be whole and they need to be ready for you to study with. Writing clear and complete notes during class will help you to process the information that you’re learning, and then you can tuck these into study notes later on and condense the information into easy-to-read facts.
5. Always ask questions.
If there is information that you don’t understand, you need to put your hand up and ask some questions in class. If you don’t feel comfortable asking in front of everybody, make a note on your notepad to email your teacher after class.
