Grass Jewel (Freyeria trochylus)

I was SO excited to spot this butterfly as I really didn’t think i would come across it. When i first saw it, I thought it was a moth because of how tiny it was but the markings from the blues family just caught my eye. The Grass Jewel is the smallest butterfly in Europe which is even more cool! 🦋🇨🇾

One of the highlights of Cyprus was seeing a sea turtle during a boat trip! 🌊🐢 The sea is as blue, if not more than the photos show 😍 also got to swim in this beautiful sea and saw some fish 🐟 Would love to go back and explore more ☀️

I’ve never seen so many Small Blues as there were at Prestbury Hill a few weeks ago 💙 It was so lovely to see a swarm of these beautiful butterflies everywhere you looked! There must have been about 50 individuals 🦋🥳
