Do you feel as though your home is full of clutter? Maybe you feel as though you just canβt seem to stay on top of everything like you once could. If this is the case, then you need to try and work around it by focusing on decluttering one room at a time. This guide will help you to do just that.

Create One Clutter-Free Space
Identify one countertop, or one corner of the room, and make it clutter-free. Ask every single family member in your home to see if they can commit to keeping that one space, clutter-free. If you can get to this point, then it will become easier for you to keep this motivation and then move on to the next space. This is the best way for you to ease your anxiety, and it will work wonders for your stress levels. If you can do this with one simplified space, then you will find it easier to do this with other spaces around the home, which will work wonders for both your mental health and your home.
Make a Junk Box
Another thing you can do to declutter your home is collect items from all around the house, from your junk drawers and from other areas. You can then throw everything into a single junk box. By doing this, you will be able to sort through any cables, and you can also make sure that you are not hanging onto things that you simply donβt need. When you have your junk box, you can then hide it so it is out of sight. If you have things in your junk box that you have kept for over 30 days, but you have still found no use for them, then you can probably throw them away, and you wonβt miss them. This is a great way for you to declutter, and you would be surprised at what a positive impact it can have on your mental health.
Hire a Skip
Lastly, you need to make sure that you hire a skip. Hiring a skip is one of the best ways for you to make sure that you are not constantly running to the recycling centre, and it also means that you can purge your home of everything you simply donβt need. You can also do it in one day, which will help you with your decluttering efforts. The best thing about skip hire is that you can do it online, and when you have it all booked, all you have to do is load it up. If this feels daunting, then donβt worry, you can always ask a friend or even a relative to help you with it, and this will take a lot of stress out of the situation.
